Max Planck Florida Institute presents
March 6-7, 2012 (Tues, Wed)
Neural Circuits Symposium
In an effort to promote the development of interregional collaboration in the training of young scientists, the Max Planck Florida Institute (MPFI), in association with the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO), will host a symposium at the Lifelong Learning Complex on the Jupiter campus of Florida Atlantic University (FAU) on March 6-7, 2012.
Welcome to MPFI's Neural Circuits Symposium
This event will serve as the inauguration of an MPFI-IBRO postdoctoral training program, the Latin American Fellows Program for Neural Circuit Research, to be administered by MPFI in Jupiter, Florida. The program will operate as part of IBRO's Interregional Initiative, involving the United States/Canada and Latin American Regional Committees, and sponsor select neuroscience postdoctoral fellows from Latin American countries. The goals of this program are: to foster collaboration between neuroscientists from the two regions, and strengthen neuroscience research and training in Latin America.
In addition to our two-day symposium, a poster session and reception will be held at the PGA National Resort on the evening of March 6, 2012. This event is intended to highlight the work of local neuroscientists. Those planning to attend the symposium are encouraged to register for this event as well.
