Neuroscience Saturday

Neuroscience Saturday was an educational outreach program created to give high school students and teachers from low-income communities exposure to hands-on activities designed to spark interest in science through the wonders of the brain.

This collaborative program between the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience and Scripps Florida featured neuroscience activities which introduced participants to topics such as brain structure and function, the biology of learning and memory, and cutting-edge imaging techniques.

The Neuroscience Saturday program concluded in January of 2016.  Approximately 120 high school students and 20 Title 1 teachers from throughout Palm Beach County were able to take part in this unique opportunity.
