Teacher Internship Program

Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience’s two-week teacher internship offers Palm Beach County high school and middle school teachers an opportunity to learn about cutting edge techniques used in neuroscience research, taking back valuable tools and resources for their classrooms. Some of the topics covered in the course of the internship include: immunohistochemistry, learning and memory, genotyping and imaging.
MPFI’s 2017 teacher internship program runs from June 7 to June 21. Teachers must be available to work 40 hours per week and will be compensated at a competitive rate.
Applications must contain:
- A current resume
- One letter of recommendation from applicant’s school principal, emailed to ana.fiallos at mpfi.org
- A cover letter addressing: 1) applicant’s interest in MPFI’s teacher internship program, 2) how the summer internship will benefit the applicant and the applicant’s students and 3) applicant’s plans to integrate neuroscience related knowledge into classroom lessons and activities
