Nicole Shultz joined MPFI as the Histology Coordinator in the Fitzpatrick lab in June of 2016. For the last ten years, Nicole has worked at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical campus as a Senior Professional Research Assistant for Dr. Thomas Finger. Her research there focused on taste and smell transduction from the periphery to the central nervous system. Before joining the Fitzpatrick lab, Nicole earned her Masters in Cell and Molecular Biology with a concentration in Molecular Virology from San Diego State University where she engineered viral vectors for reporter gene expression systems.
